Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and combat sport based on ground fighting and submission holds. BJJ focuses on the skill of taking an opponent to the ground, controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds.
Kickboxing is a group of stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching. The combat takes place in a boxing ring, normally with boxing gloves, mouth guards, shorts, and bare feet to favor the use of kicks. Kickboxing is practiced for self-defence, general fitness, or as a contact sport.
Taekwon-Do is a Korean form of martial arts, characterized by punching and kicking techniques, with emphasis on head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques.
Muay Thai, sometimes referred to as Thai boxing, is a combat sport that uses stand-up striking, sweeps, and various clinching techniques.

Coach Alex has been involved in martial arts since he was 10 years old, and by his own account, his life has been much better as a result: “When I first started martial arts training, I was a withdrawn kid who spent far too much time watching tv and playing video games. I didn’t know the first thing about challenging myself physically.
Coach Alex has been involved in martial arts since he was 10 years old, and by his own account, his life has been much better as a result: “When I first started martial arts training, I was a withdrawn kid who spent far too much time watching tv and playing video games. I didn’t know the first thing about challenging myself physically. As I trained and pushed myself out of my comfort zone, I learned confidence and how to face adversity. As a result of these lessons, martial arts training profoundly changed me as a person and changed my life for the better. I enjoy teaching others as a way to pay all of that forward.” He started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2011 and is currently a brown belt in BJJ. He also holds a 5th-degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate. Coach Alex specializes in using knowledge of body mechanics to maximize the efficiency and power of techniques.

Mike Kelly, “Coach K” as named by his students, has a long history in Martial Arts. Coach K studied Mi Yama Ryu Combat Jiu Jitsu under the late Shinan Antonio “Professor” Pereira and dear friend Luis Feliciano in his early years. After Coach K’s son showed an interest in Taekwon-Do, they both quickly became students of the art. Coach K, already a Black Belt, became affiliated with Infinity Martial Arts when the dojo first opened in 2012 and became ITF certified. Coach K likes to have fun in his classes and helps his students learn by mixing traditional ITF Taekwon-Do lessons and his own unique variety of activities. This provides a “discipline with laughter” approach to help all students enjoy the art.
